Severe Weather Outage Updates

Severe Weather Outage Updates

SAT. 2/20 - PUBLIC ALERT MESSAGE:
This is Bitter Creek Water Supply. Please reduce all water use, to necessity only. Due to the recent weather conditions, we have multiple, unknown leaks, which are causing, extra water and pressure loss. Please reduce all water use, to an absolute necessity, for the next 48 hours, to help keep up with the demand while we make repairs. If you are experiencing an outage, we are currently working, to resolve all issues, however, this will take time. Thank you for your continued patience.

2/19 Water service is restored tanks are full, and system pressure is normal. 109/221/226 might still be offline due to freeze. However everyone else should have water or its on their side. we are still under a boil notice till the storm passes in case we go off line again. Robert is going to buy cases of water from store if available to have for customers at the office.

2/18 Major water leak at cave tank, Roby and Rotan might lose service. Crew is out now working to locate and repair. I sent out a public notice to let customers know about it.

2/17 Water service has been restored, tanks are full, however CR 409/431 cr220/221 report they are still out of water. we are actively out flushing line and checking meters.

2/16 Water service is restored, all customers should have water. If a customer say they do not, have them check their meter it may be frozen. Best method to unfreeze the meter is a hair dryer. We will not be making any rounds to check meters at this point. Customers will need to unfreeze their own meters. The crew will be working to maintain the system.

2/16 We are refilling lines, currently Nunn tank is filling but the power at the site is out. We will be filling lines and flushing as needed. some customer have reported an increase in pressure already.

We are still under a boil water notice.

2/15 We are going to release Althof water storage into the system slowly only to the northside as the south side is full to Gessin. when Nunn and cave become filled we will open the southside up to restore service to the lake and above.. this will be an time consuming process updates will be slow.

2/14 Oncore has extended the repair time on the outages to 2pm today. We currently still have emergency power on the main well pump flowing 200 gallons per minute. We are isolating all tanks to allow for refilling due to constant customer usage.
